Racing NSW stewards “will hear the appeals of jockeys Blake Shinn & Peter Robl against their lengthy riding bans on separate dates next month,” reported The Daily Telegraph. Chief steward Ray Murrihy confirmed Shinn's appeal (against a 15-months ban) “is set for February 22, while Robl's (against a 12-months ban) is due 2 days later”. Shinn & Robl “were found to have placed numerous bets on a TAB telephone account”.
